Salted Chocolate Orange Fudge

Salted Chocolate Orange Fudge

I had a couple of tins of Nature's Charm condensed milk and had no idea what to make with them. Turns out you can make loads of things from cakes to banoffee pie. I thought I'd make fudge & add some orange oil & zest. Tasted amazing and the salt really brings out the flavours.

Servings 20 squares

Ingredients

  • 1 tin dairy free condensed milk 320g I used Nature's Charm
  • 300 g dairy free chocolate 2 cups
  • 1 tsp pink/sea salt save a little to sprinkle on top.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp orange oil
  • Zest from 2 oranges

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a non stick pan and on a low heat stir until everything is melted and combined. This takes about 4-5 minutes.
Line a tin with parchment paper and pour in the fudge mix. Make sure it's evenly spread and give the tin a little shake to remove any air bubbles.
Pop in the fridge overnight or for 5 hours to set. Remove from the tin and take off the paper. Sprinkle with a little more salt and cut into cubes.
Store in the fridge for 5-6 days in a air tight container.
    Enjoy!

Notes

Tip: I used dairy free dark chocolate but you could use milk chocolate for a more creamier taste. Be sure to melt the ingredients on a low heat and don’t rush. You want them to melt slowly and not burn or start to cook.
Makes around 20 squares of fudge.
